EMV

The term used to describe payments made using a traditional Payment Device or Pin Pad, by Tapping (NFC) or Inserting the Chip card.

Issuing Bank

The Bank that issued the Credit or Payment Card of the Customer.

MID

Merchant Id, or Merchant Account Number – the account that belongs to the Merchant or Business Central company that hosts and receives all electronic payments.  MIDs are often allocated according to Channel or Location and often by Card Brand, for instance you may have a different MID for American Express compared to other Credit Cards.  Sometimes, MID is configured behind the scenes and is not exposed in any configuration.
