🛈 Important

You must license MAX Pay Global prior to performing a payment.  Failure to have the correct and date-valid license will result in (credit card) payments not being processed.

This topic addresses the process and technical aspects of licensing.  For commercial queries, please contact your Retail Realm partner account manager.

License groups

MAX Pay Global is licensed – meaning that it requires a license in order to function correctly.  There are three types of license and three types of payment groups

Types

  • MOTO
  • Online
  • Retail

MOTO

Payments (Authorization and Capture) taking place in the Dynamics 365 headquarters (AOS) require a MOTO license

Online

Payments taking place (Authorization and Capture) taking place in the e-Commerce online storefront channel (CSU) require an online license

Retail

Payments taking place on the Point of sale (hardware station) require a Retail license

Payment Methods (Groups)

  • Card providers (e.g. credit card)
  • Wallet (e.g., an exclusive PayPal connector)
  • Gift card (e.g., an exclusive Gift Card provider)

Depending upon the Connector, whether it is a Credit card provider, Wallet provider or Gift card provider, they require the appropriate license type covering the Payment group.  In total, there are nine different license variants (3x3).
