Configure the Hardware station
Prerequisites
Complete the hardware profile setup.
Local hardware station
You will configure and use the Local hardware station when using Retail Modern POS
- Navigate to Retail > Channels > Retail Stores > All Retail Stores
- Select a store
- Select the Hardware Station tab.
- Edit an existing Hardware station or create a new one (+Add)
- Use the table below to enter/edit each setting:

After making changes, run the 1070 and 1090 jobs.
Shared Hardware station
You will configure and use the Local hardware station when using Cloud POS (CPOS) and sometimes Retail Modern POS
- Navigate to Retail > Channels > Retail Stores > All Retail Stores
- Select a store
- Select the Hardware Station tab.
- Edit an existing Hardware station or create a new one (+Add)
- Use the table below to enter/edit each setting:

Package reference
When setting the hardware profile, it is important to choose the correct package and version. When using the Retail Realm (RR.XXXX) package for MPOS/CPOS (i.e. where you do not have any non-Retail Realm custom POS extensions), ensure you use the Package reference RR.HardwareStationSetup. Where you have combined the Retail Realm extensions with your own customizations and produced your own package, then you will select this when defining a hardware station, again ensuring the version number is correct and matches that defined in Devices.
