Configure a POS Button
This topic shows you how to configure a Custom POS Button or Operation in Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations.
Overview
A Custom POS button or POS operation is required at Retail Modern POS to allow access to the MAX Mobile Stock take journal function which forms part of Stock take.
Create a POS operation
- Navigate to Retail > Channel setup > POS Setup > POS > POS operations
- Click +New and enter each field as below:

You can enter any operation name. This will be displayed on the Point of Sale button and visible to the Cashier. e.g. Enter "Stock take Journals" |

- Add this Operation to respective screen layout of POS
- Sync the above changes to store(s) using Job 1070 Channel configuration and 1090 Register.
- Start and Sign in to Retail Modern POS at the store and check that the button is visible to the Cashier.
